The New Point Comfort Lighthouse on nearby Mobjack Bay is visible from our camping and RV park. On the Chesapeake Bay, it was commissioned by Thomas Jefferson and built in 1805, making it the tenth oldest lighthouse in the US. The lighthouse is now closed to public traffic, but this historic structure be viewed from a nearby observation pier.
